Recipe: Blueberry, peach and green tea smoothie

This delicious smoothie packed with antioxidants will boost your health and well-being.

Blueberries and green tea are loaded with antioxidants, which help prevent age-related illnesses. This elixir of youth also contains organic yogurt, a source of bone-strengthening calcium and immune-boosting probiotics.



  • 2 tbsp flaxseed
  • 2 fresh peaches, peeled, cored and quartered
  • 1⁄2 cup blueberries
  • 1 cup strong unsweetened green tea, chilled
  • 1⁄2 cup non-fat plain organic yogurt


1 Grind the flaxseed using a spice or coffee grinder.

2 Combine all the ingredients in a blender and purée until smooth. Serve.

Serves 2

Per serving: 143 calories; 4 g total fat; 22 g carbohydrates; 5 g fibre;
1 mg cholesterol; 7 g protein; 47 mg sodium.
